Text-to-web solves the problem of easily publishing text based material. I found I had many, many PLR articles that I never bothered to publish becuase creating the pages for them was too much of a headache. I created an earlier edition of text-to-web to help combat that and publish
Not everybody has the facility or technical expertese to host their own blogging software, furthermore for static information sites a blog can look dated after it's been published and the comments can require constant attention from the publisher.
Text-to-web lets you as a content creator quickly have a great looking and functional website or sub-section of a website that you can publish and then let be. It's great for Private Label Rights documents and for any old text material you might have hanging around.
Sadly we can't convert Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format documents, so you'll need to convert those to plain text before using the system. Or, for a low fee of £5 we will convert up to 30 Word documents into plain text for use in the text to web system. So, if you have a bunch of word documents gathering dust that could be used on your website or intranet, for a fiver you'll get the documents translated into plain text for use in the text-to-web system.
Register for an account with us, then upload your plain text files. You can either upload each file indiviually or as a batch in a ZIP or TGZ file.
We'll only process plain text files in the batch: those with a .TXT extention. We don't proces any other type of files, if other files are included they'll be ignored.
Once the files are uploaded onto our server you can select various options in the site creator stage, publishing multiple times if you wish until you are happy with the site layout.
Then you can download the processed documents as a ZIP file to publish on your own web space.
The files are also published here at /username/topic-name/ so you could even point a domain name to this space for instant & free web hosting & publishing. Amazing!
Please be aware that we reserve the right to remove documents without notice and for any reason, and you may not use this servcie to create, host or publish material to which you do not own the rights to, could be illegial in both your country of residence or in the United Kingdon, is defamitory or libalous or could otherwise get us in trouble. Wo-be-tied anyone how insults Fulham.
We have an option for you to place a small text link advert on the bottom of your published pages. This is enitrely voluntary, although obviously we're delighted when you chose to do so.
We also had an option to include a link to us, and may include a sponsors section in the future. Again, for the moment this remain entirely optional, though we may develop a model where subscribers are provided with a sponsor free version whilst free users sites will conatin our link, naturally you're free to edit out the links on sites you host externally to text-to-web.
At the moment text-to-web is a free registration. We will introduce other options in the future, a subscription service where by you get access to all of text-to-webs publishing features without any of our advertising or links. The free services will continue to have advertising and the text-to-web hosted pages will always carry our advertising in the footer section of a page.
Please note, we are not accepting registrations at this point.
Text-to-web produces PHP files so if you are publishing your sites elsewhere you'll need a server that's capable of displaying PHP files.
We use PHP as some aspects of the site have breadcrumbs and other functions that are best performed "live" rather than pre-written as static HTML this allows you the most flexibility with your site.
The advertising is also called in via includes files, you need to define each file once and they shall be called throughout your site. Furthermore, you only need define the advert types you chose, and you are able to select any provider.
Text-to-web uses the Yahoo User Interface to build the layouts. This gives you several advantages.
